I am constantly searching for a "constantly with me and available" lighting system for the bike. A friend had these special blinking version of the "Skylights" made, and I had to see if I could fit them onto my daily driver. These lights have coin cell batteries that are charged via an incorporated PV cell on the top. Blink and off is all they do. I've had these mounted for a couple of seasons now, and it is sure nice to have them always with me and always ready to go. You certainly don't want to navigate with them, but they are definitely enough to be seen with, and makes me legal. WAY better than nothing, that's for certain. If these could be made with the button on the same side as the PV cell (you can't mount them on the non-PV side since you need access to the button) and/or with a simple bar mount, these would be hot sellers. One other idea is to have a white front/ red rear combo in one unit that could be mounted to the top of the helmet. If nothing else, I've proven that they survive the elements and rigor of being constantly mounted to a bike that is stored outside and ridden every day.
So I found an old 90° mount from a reflector or something,
and modified it to fit on my rack boss for the rear blinky shown here.

The front one hands from the unused brake hanger of my classic
bullmoose handlebars. Great use for an otherwise useless item that I was about
to grind off.

End.
