This is a Surefire X200 with a modified two-stage switch and
Pelican Reflector head. After finding some durable, plastic RAM parts for
the handlebar mount, I couldn't be happier with this thing. It slips
on and off the mount with the integrated gun-rail mount.

OK... so then I bought a new bike, and discovered these awesome CNC-machined quick-release mounts. Way more in tune with the X200 than the plastic mounts! So, a bit of drilling and a touch of instant anodize here and there, I now have a really sleek mount that can be quickly switched between all of my bikes, or removed completely for when night riding is not in the cards. I said I couldn't be happier earlier... I was wrong. ;)
Here are all the pieces unmounted. Two screws secure the picatinny rail to
the bar mount. The X200 just slides onto the rail as before. Now I have a
double quick-release. Light to mount and mount to bar.

Close-up of just the mount on the bar. Very light clamping pressure supplies
a REALLY sturdy mount.

With light mounted. Everything is much lower-profile and cleaner now.

View from the cockpit. The ugly white enamel is to remind me which side is
high beam.

So... until next time, I could not be happier. :)
